Miss Laura is a Mississippi Delta native from the small town of Brazil and she has lived in Clarksdale for 47 years. She used to own Miss Laura’s Ceramic and Gift Shop on Delta Avenue, and she still sells her Toadily Crafts at the market each week. Miss Laura also sells fresh produce and prepared foods such as canned jellies and jams, pasta sauce, cinnamon buns, and her famous thirty-day cake. Miss Laura’s daughters, Tynia and Renee, join her every week at the market.
