CFM Week 13

This post expired on September 10, 2010.

Hello all,

Our online ordering for this week is up and running and waiting for you to place your orders: http://www.clarksdale.locallygrown.net/.

Here is a list of what’s available for pre-order online this week: Sweet potatoes, turnip and mustard greens, okra, yellow squash, hot peppers, sweet and mild peppers, dill pickles, pickled okra, jellies and preserves and several kinds of artisan breads.

Also available online this week are some of Meri Tenhet’s incredibly delicious prepared foods. Please be aware that because of prior committments, Meri will not be at the market for the next few weeks, so if you can’t go that long without some of her tasty food, be sure to pre-order so it will be waiting for you at the market even though Meri won’t!

Other news for this week: The Clarksdale Garden Club is holding their annual bulb sale fundraising drive and will be at the market for the next four weeks. The bulb brochure and order form are on the website, but if you want the brochure and order form emailed to you (there are 4 JPEG files), just reply to this email and we will send it you individually. Or, just come to the market and pick up a brochure and order form in person.

And finally, Maci Flautt with the Ag Extension office, will be at the market this Saturday from 8-10 am, to talk about health and nutrition and give out information. Look for her at the CFM table.

This week, online orders are accepted through Friday morning. If you order online, please pick up your order on Saturday at the CFM table at the Market, but please arrive no later than 11:00.

Thanks to all of you for your continuing support! We enjoy seeing you on Saturdays and appreciate the strong sense of community here.

Please note that Matthew Joseph, our artisan bread baker does not arrive at the market until 9 or 9:30 am.

We hope to see you this Saturday at the Farmers Market in the green space on the 200 block of Delta Avenue! The Market is open from 8:00 am until noon (or whenever we sell out).
